Service Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking our services, you (the ‘customer’) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not proceed with our services.

2. Booking and Service Delivery

Services are provided by appointment only.
Appointments may be made via phone, email, or online booking.
We offer onsite service at your location or remote support where applicable.
We reserve the right to refuse service where we deem the job to be unsafe or beyond our capability.

3. Pricing and Payment

All fees will be disclosed prior to commencement of work. Any estimates given are done so in good faith. However, due to the complex nature of electronics, not all issues can be diagnosed without first performing some level of service. Your estimate may therefore change based on what we find during the repair process. We will always notify you of any adjustments to the cost and confirm with you before proceeding.
Pricing will be calculated at an hourly unless a flat-rate has otherwise been agreed upon.
All on-site appointments incur a minimum labour charge of one hour, with any additional labour required being billed in half-hour blocks.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept both Cash and Eftpos payments on-site.

4. Consumer Guarantees

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
You are entitled to:

  • A refund or replacement for a major failure with a service.

  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

If the failure is minor, we will rectify the issue within a reasonable time.
If not rectified in time, you may be entitled to cancel the service and receive a refund.

5. Liability and Limitations

While we take reasonable care in handling your devices, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or faults (including but not limited to liquid damage, corrosion, thermal damage, etc.)

  • Data loss (see below)

  • Incompatibility issues beyond our control

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the services or refunding the cost.

6. Data Backup and Loss

You are solely responsible for backing up your data before we provide our services.
We are not responsible for any loss of data or software during or after the provision of our services.
We may offer data backup or recovery as a separate service, if requested.

7. Warranties

We offer a 30-day service warranty on labour (not parts), unless otherwise stated.
Manufacturer warranties apply to new parts supplied.
Warranty claims must be made in writing and include proof of purchase (invoice).

8. Parts and Third-Party Products

If replacement parts are required, we may use new or refurbished parts.
Where parts are sourced from third parties, we are not responsible for manufacturer delays or defects.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
A cancellation fee may apply for late cancellations or no-shows.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of that State.

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated terms will be posted on our website and will apply to all services booked thereafter.
